Shamsha Hashwani’s A Mughal Mirage Bridal Collection showcased at PLBW 2016. The night reached its conclusion with Shamsha Hashwani displaying a beautiful and extensive collection. Starting her show with the diva, Sohai Ali Abro, she made sure to capture the audience’s attention. Sohai was the only model spotted in a tulip shalwar, but it went perfectly with her outfit. Other designs varied, from ghararas to maxis, adding color to the relatively sober show as compared to the vibrant, multicolored designs from the previous night.
With confetti and applause filling the air, the second night came to a close. The line-up for day 3 is quite extensive, including favorites such as Nomi Ansari, Zara Shahjahan and Ali Xeeshan, along with Sonia Azhar, Republic by Omar Farooq and Muse. PLBW 2016 has unveiled many new and bold designs thus far, and we can expect that the concluding night will continue to surprise us.
I demonstrated my frustration and thoughts about PLBW by cutting out a question mark. This demonstrates my anxiousness, puzzled thoughts and the various last minute preparations that the show entails. It isn’t easy to meet the deadlines, match the perfect colours with the perfectkaam and do the finishing touches, especially when most of my staff is gone for Eid holidays. However, I am determined and very enthusiastic. I hope to create pieces that are different and unique from my usual work. Though many customers enjoy my signature style, I believe having variety in your wardrobe is essential. – Shamsha Hashwani
